Accused murderer, Daniel Hounslow, appeared at a committal hearing at 10.00 am this morning, at the Melbourne Magistrate’s Court.
The then 41-year-old man was arrested at the Eagle Way scene in Wyndham Vale, following a call to police and the discovery of a 49-year-old deceased man at the premises about 8.50 pm on Sunday, March the 24th, 2019.
It was reported in The Age today that, Stephen Brooks, who had lived in the same share house, wrote in a statement tendered to court that Mr. Hounslow had “lost his marbles” and gone “loopy” since they met in 2014.
“He was a completely different man,” he said.
Mr. Hounslow had believed Mr. Kalawek “had drugged or poisoned him”, Mr. Brooks said.
It has been reported that the committal hearing has been adjourned until Thursday.
